Summer Afternoon

A handful of swimmers wade out into shallow water with their boards, small against a pale, hazy summer sky. Below them, the water breaks into loose watercolor reflections of blue, gold, and soft green.

I kept the washes light and the brushwork easy, so the painting stays airy and calm. At 8.5 x 11 in, it is a natural fit for a bedside wall, a reading corner, or a shelf where you'll see it each day.
