Dark Magnolia

Dark Magnolia sets layered magnolias against a deep teal ground. I built the petals from thin glazes and slow brushwork, so the white reads as four colors at once.

It arrives in a natural wood floater frame and is large enough for the wall over a sofa, and it reveals more depth the closer you stand.

Original painting. 28 x 40 in, acrylic on canvas board, in a natural wood floater frame.
